I just bought this bike a week ago. haven't even been able to get it tagged (police think this is why it was stolen). It was stolen last night near 152 and I29, south of the airport in KC. I haven't even had a chance to take some good pictures of it, so all I have is from the craigslist ad.

2003 Silver/black R6, flushmount LED turn signals, the easiest identifier on the bike is the red/black micron exhaust. Has a hot bodies undertail kit, CF tire hugger, Red rim tape on the front rim and none on the back rim, some light scratches on the lower fairings, but otherwise its in pretty good shape.
I've been wanting a bike for the last 4 years, finally had a chance to save some $$$ while I was on an internship and now its gone. PLEASE CALL ME AT 785-230-9516 with ANY information you have.

Ryan did you check the house of the guy you bought it from? In some cases they steal it back and resell it over and over.

I never filled out the title with him there and he has no idea where I live. Anyway, tough to sell a bike when the VIN # says its stolen.
Luckily I did get it insured on tuesday last week, but I was swamped and never had a chance to get out and buy some fork locks and a cover. What really grinds my gears is I almost brought it back to topeka this weekend, but decided i didn't need my DD, my trans am, and my bike all in topeka at the same time.

naw, I was just calling to BS on the drive back to KC.
What makes me mad about this situation is my roomate and 2 other interns all have had their bikes outside their apartments, uncovered, no additional security measures at all for the last few monthes and its my bike that gets ripped after only a week. Hell my roomate had his dads brand new softail ($16k+ bike) up here for over a month and he's never had any trouble at all.

Sorry to hear that. Those are nice looking bikes. I am glad I have a place to keep both of mine. I wish I could understand what makes a person capable of doing something like that, or even to vandalize some one elses stuff. Too bad the law is so relaxed on this stuff, even if they do catch the person it probably won't get them much more then a slap on the wrist. Good luck on the recovery.
Yea man, that sucks. Hope u get it back, or the insurance check is huge.

i'll keep an ear open, i know quite a few people in topeka w/ bikes, so if it ends up in topeka, i might hear about it but i hope u get it back. Otherwise, i hope the check is big enough that u can get something a little nicer (not saying r6's arent nice)

To add another layer of confusion, their is also the YFZ-600R which is 70lbs heavier and 15 less HP. Then there is also the 06-07 R6S which I believe uses the same plastics as the 03-05 R6's.

kawi makes it easy
6r- 600
10r- 1000
14r- 1400
except for the 6rr that has bigger brakes and weighs less - but i think they dropped it

6RR is 600cc's, 6R is a 636cc's. The 636 is more street friendly, while 600 in the 6R is the all out race bike that has to be displacement limited.
