I have seen water blades for sale on Eckler's Camaro. I have seen these at other places and I am wondering if these are worth the money, if they scratch the paint or if they loose their plyability fast. Let me know your thoughts, I thought it would be faster and less clean up than terry cloth towels.

They're OKAY but they are a little noisy (if the Eckler's is a rubber version, there are better foam versions available such as the one from Griot's Garage which don't squeal as much) but I generally try to stay away from blades because if you manage to get one little speck of sand in front of that blade, you're dragging it across an entire panel and probably leaving some scratches.

I personally like to use an electric leaf blower then a waffle weave microfiber drying towel to get the remaining water. Yes, the neighbors think I'm retarded. They're kinda right.

Same thing I do.....that's the best way to dry a car with minimal risk of swirls.

I will have to try a leaf blower sometime. I have used it before to blow dry grass off the cars after mowing on a windy day.

It doesn't work with red paint. Sorry.

I like using them, usually do all the big wide surfaces with one and then finish up with the chammois or a towell if thats all i have around

But what do i know, i haven't washed the miata for over a month and the GTA hasn't been washed in almost a year... damn i'm a lazy bastard

or if you had a dryer+cooler coming of your air compressor you can just use the air... i run the little passive dryers just before each hose real also

We use them at our dealer for quick wash jobs just to get the main water off. Once you use them enough they work fine on the curves for the most part, just gotta get it down.
